2020-21 SquawFree team Registration is open!

Welcome to the 2020-2021 Squaw Valley Freestyle and Freeride Team!  Winter is coming and we are excited to start a new season back on snow!  There are going to be a lot of BIG changes for SquawFree this winter season and we encourage everyone to join us at our team Orientation on Oct 24thto learn about everything you need to know to be prepared for the upcoming season.  

REGISTRATION: 

So much has changed over the last few months, we hope everyone is safe, well, and are excited as we are to get back to winter and skiing!  COVID-19 is on forefront of all our concerns as we get closer to the opening of the season.  SquawFree, first and foremost, is dedicated to the safety of all our athletes.  We are committed to following all the guidelines and recommendations put forth by our governing bodies. We have no idea what we will face in the future, so for now we are moving forward with registration and hoping for a full season of skiing and competitions.  For more information on SquawFree Team Registration as well as important dates for the 2020/2021 Season please visit:

If we are unable to conduct team this winter due to COVID-19, we will refund 100% of your registration fee’s before Dec 12th.  If there is any shortage of team practice days due to COVID-19 you will be refunded a portion of your registration equivalent to the days/time we were not able to operate team practice. If you are unable to participate with SquawFree due to an injury, or you or a family member have COVID-19, there will be special arrangements made for you through the program due to missed days.  We will discuss much more about COVID-19 precautions and how they will be handled, as well as all your concerns with the program at the Team Orientation on Oct 24th.

First Day of Team: DECEMBER 12th, 

LOCKERS:

SquawFree team lockers are available for $200 for the winter season.  All Lockers are first come first serve.  Registration must be paid in full to reserve your locker #.  If you want the same locker or you have a good one in mind, register early to save your spot! Please reserve your locker on your registration form. At this point we are only taking reservations for lockers. You will be charged your locker fee once we know for sure we will be able to have a locker room this season.

WOODWARD:

SquawFree trains at Woodward!  We will continue to host team trampoline and jump training at Woodward starting in October.  SquawFree Woodward coaching is included with your registration fee.  You will need to purchase a Woodward Bunker Pass to enjoy all that Woodward has to offer.  You must be registered and paid up with SquawFree for the 2020-2021 season to receive a Team discount on your Woodward Bunker Pass.  We will send you a Letter of Introduction once all invoices are paid.  This letter will get you the Team discount!

US FREESTYLE NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS:

This season SquawFree, together with Squaw Valley/Alpine Meadows, are hosting US Freestyle National Championships on March 18-21, 2021.  This is a spectacular event and major undertaking for the program.  We encourage all families to participate in helping SquawFree make this the best Nationals Championships in Decades.  Our goal is to host the most exciting event on snow for all the competitors and spectators.  Next year will be the 2022 Winter Olympics and there is a lot on the line for these competitors. Its going to be a very exciting event to be a part of. 

SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM:

We are happy to announce the 2020/2021 SquawFree Scholarship application process is now open and available through DocuSign HERE .  

We are excited to be able to provide SquawFree Scholarships again this season.  The Scholarship Program is a great opportunity for athletes who need help to be apart of this wonderful program.  Scholarships will be awarded up to 8 athletes this season and will cover 100% of your registration expenses as well as provide a free season pass to Squaw Valley/Alpine Meadows.  You must be at least 13 years of age and live in the Grass Valley/ Tahoe/ Reno area and be able to train full time.  All scholarship applications are due on October 1st, 2020.  You must complete the entire application to be considered for the scholarship.  Good Luck!

AIRFARM: 

Don’t forget, we are training hard at the SquawFree Airfarm throughout the summer and Fall! Come out and jump with us and join in on the fun!  Its great training to get ready for the upcoming season.  $400 for the season or $50 per day of Jumping and Ramping.
